Activities Coordinator

Job Description:

Activities Coordinator required for our 2019 Season (June 28 -Sept 1).

Reports to Maintenace Manager

Salary Between $15/hr

We are looking for a motivated, committed professional who believes in providing true genuine customer service. You lead by example, possess a strong work ethic, and are extremely results driven. The Candidate must excel in time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task effectively in complex situations while portraying a calm, assured, and professional manner at all times. Must also be outgoing, fun, and able to work on their own or as a team player.

Job Responsibilities:

Take primary responsibility for the health, well-being, and happiness of campers

Recognize and respond to opportunities for group problem solving

Provide opportunities for the group so that the success of each individual experience while visiting.

Encourage respect for personal property, camp equipment, facilities, and rules of the campground

Set a good example for campers in all areas, including cleanliness, punctuality, clean-up chores, rules, and sportsmanship

Guide campers in participating successfully in all aspects of camp activities

Supervise, assist, and actively participate in all aspects of the campers’ activities.

Observe camper behavior, assess its appropriateness, enforce appropriate safety regulations and emergency procedures and apply appropriate behavior-management techniques.

Prepare for and set up Activities
Meet/communicate regularly with the Office Manager regarding concerns, updates, and challenges
Qualifications:

Demonstrated experience working with children.
Ability to teach and lead various recreational activities.
Excellent character, integrity, and adaptability.
Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels.

The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere.

Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, and self-control.
First Aid and CPR will be considered assets.
Additional Information:

Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work different hours during the day.
Must have own transportation.

Job Type: Part-time Approximately 20-35hrs/week

Junior Maintenance Person

Job Description:

A Junior Maintenance person is required for our 2019 Season (May September).

Reports to Maintenace Manager

Salary  $15/hr

Duties include:

grass cutting trimming with a whipper snipper
trimming of tree branches
raking up leaves to get ready for the upcoming season
setting up picnic tables and firepits for campsites
cleaning up debris around campsites and grounds
escorting campers to their sites as well as other light duties

Requirements

Must possess customer service and public relations skills.
Must have a positive attitude and outgoing personality.Must demonstrate professionalism at all times.
Assist with any on-site operational problems typical of a campground operation such as power, water, sewer, etc.
Experience with lawn maintenance equipment.
All Staff must strive to work cooperatively with the Campground Managers and fellow employees in achieving the customer service goals and objectives of the Park.

Basic Job Requirments

Endurance – Combination of sitting, standing, bending, lifting and walking.
Strong oral communication skills
