Park Rules

GENERAL

Please read and know the Park rules, “I have not read or ignored the rules” is not a valid response if you are approached regarding a violation of the rules.

Vacationland R.V. Park is viewed as and promoted as a safe, secure, friendly family campground.

Quiet time hours are to be observed from 11:00 pm to 8:00 am Sunday-Thursday and 12 am – 8 am Friday-Saturday. All radios, stereos, and all other audio equipment must be turned off, during this time. No loud music will be permitted to be played or broadcast at any time outside of quiet hours. During special events, quiet time hours will be extended and posted at the security building.

Campfires must be attended at all times. Flames may not exceed the top of one fire ring. This is a safety issue with the number of trees in the Park, as well as your neighbors do not want the soot and sparks flying on their trailers or awnings. One fire ring on a site is permitted. During time of fire restrictions, no fires of any type are permitted. All fires are to be extinguished by 1:00am.

Fire-pits are not to be used for garbage, it smells bad and attracts skunks, raccoons, crows and foxes to the area. Please put all garbage in the dumpsters.

All campers are to use single ply toilet paper. Also, do not flush paper towels, sanitary products, baby diapers, baby wipes, cleaning rags, j-cloths, facecloths, etc, etc. down the sewer lines.

If you are making excessive noise the first visit by Security is to ask you to please take it down and be quiet. Future incidents similar in nature may result in an eviction from the Park. The best way to resolve noise issues on your site is to turn off all music and for all guests to return to their own camper.

The offending Site Holder/Tenant will pay for any refunds resulting from noise complaints from their site.

Vacationland is a private park, not a public park. No student group parties, house parties, sports team parties, retail parties, office parties, etc., of any kind is permitted. There are many public parks in PEI to hold such events.

Any persons compromising another camper’s privileges can have their camping privileges revoked.

All campers and their visitors are required to obey all municipal, provincial, and federal laws.

Visitors permitted during the day only, and require a VISTOR PASS. No campfires are permitted, and all trash you generate must be removed from the campground. No overnight stays allowed, vehicles are to be parked at the rec hall.

Car passes must be displayed on the driver’s side of the dash of your vehicle at all times. Limit of 2 car passes per site.

SPEED LIMIT / VEHICLES

The speed limit in the Park is 10 Km/h and begins when you enter the park off of Britain Shore Road and NOT at the speed bumps or the security building!

There is a STOP sign at the security building, you are asked to slow down and stop. This is a safety issue, there are many children moving around the park and most do not stop to look for cars.

All motorized vehicles (cars, boats, motorcycles, mopeds) must be street legal, registered, and insured as defined by the Motor Vehicles Act. No mini-bikes, dirt bikes, go-carts, mo-peds, golf carts or other such vehicles are permitted.

Rec-Hall Parking Lot. Basically we do not want the younger kids in the high traffic areas operating these items, again a safety issue.ATV’s are only permitted in the Park to transport a sea-doo to the river area. The operator must be of legal age, and abide by the 10 Km/h speed limit. No washing vehicles in the park. Washing trailers is permitted.

No one is to be on/or operating any Park Machinery except for Hired Staff – be it the golf carts, ride on lawn mowers, 4-wheelers, etc. If so, it will result in an Immediate Eviction from the Park.
